Help Hunter learn to read & write
Auckland
Simply put, dyslexia is a specific learning disability that makes it far harder to learn to read, write or do number work. It is a processing difficulty that makes achieving success in literacy and numeracy a real challenge.
Dyslexia continues through life, but can be assessed and then its effects can be diminished by specialist strategies and techniques.
I believe my 7 1/2 year old son Hunter has some degree of dyslexia, however a diagnostic assessment is the first essential step in finding out why someone is having learning problems. The cost of the assessment is $650 plus GST (so $747.50).
On top of this, Hunter is starting specialised tutoring at Kip McGrath at $58 per weekly lesson.
With your help, we can ensure Hunter gets the extra assistance he needs so he can succeed not only at school, but in life.
As Hunter's mum, I want to help him get the support he needs to avoid him falling anymore behind than he already is.
The money raised will be used to pay for the assessment & if there is any additional money raised, this will be used towards his weekly tutoring & learning resources.
