Hutt Hamper Elves: making Christmas easier for Hutt families in need.

Christmas can be a really hard time when you’re already struggling to make ends meet. That’s why, for the past four years, we’ve been fundraising to provide hampers of food for families in need across the Hutt Valley at Christmas.

We work hand-in-hand with schools across the Hutt Valley, delivering hampers for them to pass on to the local families they’ve told us are most in need.

We ask for cash donations, rather than donations of food, so we can get the advantage of bulk purchasing power – getting the most we can for families out of your hard-earned money.

All of our work is done by volunteers, so every dollar you give goes straight to the families who need it most.

Thanks to the generous support of individuals and local businesses, we’ve been able to provide over 500 tubs of food to over 250 families.

We fundraise to support families in the Hutt Valley over the Christmas period. We work with schools to identify families who could use a hamper of food over this time.

About us

We fundraise to purchase food to make hampers for families who are doing it tough at Christmas time. There are many beneficiaries across the Wellington region.

Use of funds

All money raised goes towards grocery items and tubs. The schools tell us how many families need support, and this as our goal. If we don't raise enough, we work with each school to let them know how many we can do.
