This is Lucretia’s story of how her life took a turn within a month and how she wishes to share with you her journey so far with C.
Hamilton, Waikato
Lucretia’s parents, migrated from Fiji to NZ in October 2023 for work. After 14 months apart,Lucretia and her siblings were reunited with their parents in December 2024,ready to begin a new chapter together.
In February, she began experiencing abdominal pain for a week and after numerous visits to the GP,she was sent home told she had constipation. The pain continued for several days and her mum, felt it was time to take her to the hospital for a second opinion.
On 7 March,a CT scan showed an obstruction. She had surgery and they found small miliary deposits throughout her abdomen with metastatic disease – a condition where cancer spreads from its original site(the primary tumour) to other parts of the body.
She began chemotherapy on 31 March and completed 4 rounds. On 23 May, she was too weak to continue chemo. Doctors undertook further testing which found the cancer had spread to her spine and that was no longer treatable.
Lucretia is now in Palliative Care at Hospice Waikato where she continues to be surrounded by love and care.
We come before you today,to humbly ask for your support for our beautiful Lucretia. With the time left we hope to fulfil her bucket list and to create as many special memories as she can with her family. Her parents have both taken time off work to be with her during this time.Your support will help ease the financial burden on the family so they can focus on what truly matters: being together and cherishing every precious moment.

Achieving Lucretia's bucket list and financial support for her family.
Rest in peace our beautiful Fijian warrior princess 7 July 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Lucretia Uluiviti, who left us far too soon at the age of 17 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lucretia was a bright, kind, and beautiful soul whose strength and spirit touched everyone who knew her. Despite her young age, she faced her illness with incredible grace and bravery, reminding us all of the power of hope and resilience.
She will be forever missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in our hearts, and her light will never fade.
Details regarding memorial services will be shared with friends and family soon. We thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this time.
Vinaka vaka Levu,
