I'm ROB AICKIN, NZ record producer of the year 1978. Remember 'Hello Sailor', 'Th Dudes', 'Golden Harvest', Patsy Rigger', 'Toni Williams', Well that was me! Plus many others!

Sir Dave Dobbyn & Harry Lyon suggested I try 'Give-A-Little', so here is the story

Back in 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 2 Multiple Myeloma, while living in Townsville Qld. Australia. This followed with Radiation treatment, 6 months intense Chemo, followed by a Bone Marrow Transplant. This resulted in 7 years of remission, however being unable to work and the cancer leaving me partially cripple it also resulted in bankruptcy.

Earlier this month after another bone marrow biopsy the results show the cancer has returned.

This means another 12 month bout of treatment is about to begin and the future uncertain!

In short my wife (Val) of 45 years and I would dearly love to come home. We can't afford to move home but a few weeks holiday would make the world of difference.

A huge thank you!  1 March 2022

Thank you so much for all of your kind donations, it's truely appreciated.

As you may be aware I did not even get close to reaching my target, so I guess a trip back home is off for the mean time. I'll just hold on and see what the future holds! While my cancer is stable at present, doctors are holding off any treatment until the COVID situation improves. This also prompted me to cancel hip replacement surgery. Instead I used some of the funds to purchase an electric lounge lift chair, so I guess you could say you have all been a great support! haha!

Thanks again, I'm feeling well and getting around OK!

Hi Rob and Val. Well my friend your cousin Paul always kept me up to date with your travels. And I heard for myself the amazing sound you produced for these NZ Acts that some imbeciles criticized for their sound. Well you were way ahead of your time, I feel the song, the buzz going through my body, it's electric!. Cimaron sounds great to this day, It's so Easy is a hit with the right marketing. And so if there's anything I can do?. Get yourself home. I miss the place too. Cheers.
