I would like to say goodbye to my mum

    Yesterday a priest came and gave mum the extreme onction, the last sacrament, the one for the dying.

    A few friends and family members came. It was really beautiful and hard at the same time.

    Every day that passes shows death more and more present . It is taking its time to liberate mum from her physical body.

    I will be by her side until we leave.

    Hi everyone!

    I am going every day to see mum.

    She is slowly passing.

    I have found a lot of peace, being around her.

    It’s not sad or horrible at all...

    Actually it’s beautiful, peaceful and loving.

    It’s really a privilege to be there for her in her most important transition.

    I’m so grateful to you all for helping me out so I could be here to experience that...

    My daughters are being looked after by our big family and they love seeing their cousins, the cold Belgium winter and all the Christmas decorations in the streets.

  • Millie is at the Cattery

    Today we dropped our Millie at the cattery in Newlands.

    She’s been before, when I had to fly home just after mum’s emergency surgery in March.

    It’s really sad to have her away from us but she’ll be safe. I couldn’t find anyone to stay at my place, so at least we will be reassured that she’s been well looked after.

  • Leave very soon already

    After having had my siblings on the phone, I’ve decided to fly out this coming Wednesday already.

    The girls will most likely come with me.

    We are still on to gather as many funds as possible.

    Thank you all for your generosity, your words of encouragement and your love.

    It really does make a big difference for us.
