Me and my two daughters would like to say goodbyes to my mum!
Wellington
The time has come...
My mother is slowly leaving this world to find a resting place where she will be at peace, finally.
It’s not even a year ago that she was suddenly unwell, then got diagnosed with a massive brain tumour, only to be operated two days later. She had four brain surgeries in three weeks...
I went back three days after the first operation to see her. It wasn’t good... her condition deteriorated.
I went back again and took my two daughters with me. You bet it was the hardest time of our lives. But we were able to share some moments with her, talk an cry a lot all together.
We said our goodbyes and had to come back to NZ to live our lives.
Mum is my person. She’s the one who raised me and my siblings, all by herself. She is the person I love and admire the most on this planet.
Now, she is living her worse nightmare but yet, she told me last July that she trusted this path even though so difficult, that she cherished all the precious moments of heart opening love it had given us. She told me she was at peace within herself and surrendered to the divine. She told me she was ready to go, and that all she wanted for me was more me to be happy.
Now, she is more than ever flirting with death.
And I have no choice but to ask for your help, so I can fly back, hopefully with my daughters, say our goodbyes and attend her funeral if so be it. We are not sure when it will happen but her condition is getting worse and it is becoming a real possibility in the next month or so.
I want to be there and sing her her favourite tune the ‘Ave Maria’ by Hendel. If I can hold the tears back, it will be the most beautiful gift I can give to the one who not only gave me life, but brought my soul to love life to bits even though it can be really hard at times.
Me and my daughters thank you in advance for your generosity.
May you be blessed,
Cendrine
Plane tickets and covering living expenses while away (rent, power in NZ, food in Belgium).
Extreme onction 9 December 2019
Yesterday a priest came and gave mum the extreme onction, the last sacrament, the one for the dying.
A few friends and family members came. It was really beautiful and hard at the same time.
Every day that passes shows death more and more present . It is taking its time to liberate mum from her physical body.
I will be by her side until we leave.
Thank you for your support!
Thank you for your donations and for sharing this page, we still need funds.
As you might know I’m self employed and don’t earn anything while I’m here. I’m reaching all my limits and it’s creating a lot of stress as I won’t have enough to pay the bills.
Merci in advance!!!
Cendrine
