We all need a community!

Thought I had it all under control, with five grown up children and my future adventures awaiting.

Hi, my name is Lapiuingi Maka (aka Pingi Maka) and my planned future threw a curveball.

Here I stand with, three operations, three chemotherapy treatments, a new headwear wardrobe to add to my list of achievements. Blessed with my amazing communities of whom continue to encourage, motivate, nurture and keep me emotionally balanced (I have feelings too 😊). All in the last five months since being diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

With my phenomenal communities support I’m inspired to share and pay it forward in making a difference for our people. Please help to enable me to shave/cut those beautiful curly locks off the heads of my work colleague, Rosalin Butler and my son Benjamin Maka. By raising $2,000.00 at the strike of 10am on Friday 28 May 2021. Ignite Colleges will live stream the shave on Facebook for you to enjoy.

All proceeds will be gifted to the Breast Cancer Foundation to be used for research and education. Thank you for your kindness and for making a difference.
