Bevan was a generous man with his time and insight. Please help his family with financial support for funeral expenses
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
On September 20, 2022 our friend, husband and father passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. 18 months ago Bevan was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a form of plasma cell cancer.
Over the last few months his counts have gone down and he underwent extensive treatment of chemotherapy and radiation. He started responding well to the treatment and then the unexpected happened.
During a routine checkup the doctors noticed an infection forming on his leg which turned out to be Necrotising Fasciitis, also known as the flesh-eating disease. For 12 hours Bevan fought for his life but unfortunately his low immunity and body was not strong enough to fight the disease. It has shocked us all to the core that an infection and not cancer ended up taking his life.
Bevan left behind his wife ( Brenda) 2 kids ( Nathan & Tristan) and lots of friends who will miss him dearly. Bevan was tremendously generous and would help anyone who asked, even just for a coffee or discussing a problem. His soft spokenness and his heart made him a person who people could confide in and we always knew he had our back.
Everyone who knew Bevan can attest to his kindness and generosity. He was a thinker and would gives his time to chat about anything from the weekend sport, to politics, to diets or whatever topic you were interested in. No matter how low he was feeling, he always made time for others.
Bevan was the main income earner and this donation will assist his family with funeral and general living expenses.
