This page honours Diana’s life and helps support her family with funeral and related costs following her sudden passing.
West Harbour, Auckland
Diana was a devoted single mother to three children, a beloved sister to four siblings, and a dear friend and colleague to many.
She immigrated from Hong Kong to New Zealand from a family who loved her deeply, building a life here despite the many challenges that come with starting over in a new country.
She became a mother at just 22 while still studying part-time at university and working to support herself. From that moment on, her life was centred on her children. Much of her journey was spent raising them on her own, quietly carrying responsibilities that many never saw. She lived humbly, never seeking more than she needed, and always chose to give rather than take. If there was less to go around, she made sure it was she who went without so her children could have more.
My mum believed that time spent with loved ones was far more valuable than money. She showed her love through her presence, sacrifices, and unwavering support. To those who knew her, Diana was someone who could light up a room with her warmth, humour, and gentle smile even when she was suffering silently.
She was not only my mother, but also my best friend. I miss her more than words can express, and I hope she has found peace, somewhere she can finally rest and live the life she always deserved.
An ACC claim has been submitted, but even if it is approved, it will not cover all of the costs involved.
Diana’s sisters - Elisa & Bassy Tam, my aunties, are currently absorbing all the costs of her funeral and the arrangements she left behind. We kindly ask that, if you are able, a small donation be made to help ease this burden and support them in honouring her life.
