In Loving Memory of Phelan McDade - the family has requested donations to the Te Araroa Trust in lieu of flowers.

Napier, Hawke's Bay

On Thursday, June 5th, our beloved Phelan McDade passed away while hiking the Te Araroa trail—an adventure he cherished deeply. Phelan was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. His sudden loss has left an immense void in our lives and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Phelan was never more at peace, more alive, than when he was walking the trail. In his memory, the McDade family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Te Araroa Trust—the organisation that maintains the trail and makes this incredible journey possible for others.

Your donation will help support the ongoing care, safety, and sustainability of Te Araroa, ensuring future walkers can experience the same beauty, challenge, and joy that Phelan found on the trail.

All funds raised of this Givealittle will be donated to Te Araroa in Phelan's name.

Thank you for honouring Phelan’s memory in this meaningful way.
