Help support Tylers family who need urgent help to cover funeral costs and the immediate needs that come with such a devastating loss.
Arkles Bay, Auckland
Tyler, is a much-loved 20-year-old son, big brother, grandson, nephew, friend and well loved communty member of Hibiscus Coast was tragically taken far too soon. His passing has left his family heartbroken and facing an incredibly difficult road ahead.
Already stretched thin on a single income, the family is now needing urgent help to cover Tyler’s funeral costs and the immediate needs that come with such a devastating loss.
Tyler had made a childhood promise to his little brother Declan, that once he got his full licence, he would take him on a road trip around the South Island to see seals and penguins. While Tyler is no longer here to make that journey, Declan, Mum and Dad would love to honour that dream in his memory and take Tyler with them in spirit.
This fundraiser will help the family:
Pay for funeral and any expenses with that.
Cover basic costs while navigating grief
Honour Tyler’s promise and memory with a family trip for Declan, taking ty with them.
There are many moments and milestones they will now face without Tyler including Tylers 21st in 4 weeks.
Your support can ease the pressure and help this loving family grieve, heal, and honour their boy with the dignity he deserves.
Every donation — no matter the size — means the world. Thank you for your compassion. 💙
I am Aunty to Tyler and Declan. I want to be able to help the family in this time of need.
The family needs urgent help to cover Tyler’s funeral and living costs as they grieve. They also hope to honour his dream road trip with his brother Declan. Your support helps them heal, remember Tyler, and face life’s milestones without him.
Thank you all again. 14 August 2025
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the support over the past almost 4 weeks from helping in the search, sharing posts, providing CCTV, sending kind messages, delivering meals, making donations, offering prayers and so much more. No parent ever plans to bury their child and certainly not under such heartbreaking circumstances. Every act of kindness has made our entire family’s load a little lighter as we try to find our feet and navigate a new normal. We want you all to know how deeply appreciative we are and we will never be able to thank you all enough.
We are still living in a time of heavy loss and confusion, trying to make sense of why our boy was taken so young, way too soon. The police investigation is still ongoing and while it may take some time before we have answers, we remain hopeful that answers will come in time.
Thank you all again.💙
