Rosey and Patrick's livelihood was earned together and so Rosey has also lost her sole income.

Auckland

Our dear friend Patrick, or Patrock, passed away peacefully on 29th January 2018 at home, having been bravely nursed by Rosey until the end. Patrick was diagnosed with metastatic cancer two years ago. He put up a good fight but the disease finally won. His treatments were not always supported by Pharmac, so family and friends have kindly contributed to the cost of his prescribed medications. Rosey and Patrick also spent their life savings in a bid to find a way to prolong Patrick’s life, exploring all the options and alternative remedies available.

Today a few of Patrick’s friends are opening this page to rally support, to help out a friend in need and collect funds in support of Rosey, Patrick’s partner of 18 years. Most of us can try and imagine how difficult it is to come to terms with the loss of a loved one, but during the last few years Rosey has also lost two of her beloved brothers to suicide. The profound impact of these tragic and unexpected deaths are the reason that we must all dig deep to offer not only our continued emotional support in the years to come, but financial support as Rosey tries to find a way to live a new sort of life, without these much loved men. Those of us lucky enough to know Rosey and Patrick well, know that their livelihood was earned together and so Rosey has also lost her sole income. Please give all that you can."

Use of funds

The donated funds will all go towards setting Rosey back on track. We are confident that Rosey will bounce back, but we also know that she will need our help.
