Ingrid’s Lymphoma Cancer Battle
Waikato
Ingrid is our younger sister and recently she found out she has an aggressive form of lymphoma cancer which has spread throughout her whole body. She is currently undergoing intense chemotherapy and will endure a hard battle ahead. Not only does she have a fight against cancer our sister endured kidney failure in 2019 and has battled on relentlessly with relapses of her rare kidney disease.
This didn’t stop her as she embraced her kidney illness and carried on a normal life working and providing for her two children as a single parent even during times of relapse. Unfortunately due to lymphoma Ingrid has had to resign from her job which was heart wrenching and she is now focused on winning her battle against lymphoma.
Ingrid is a a fighter and determined to overcome this, she brings light into a room when she enters, smiling with a glow and her sense of humour, we as a family adore her, for her determination, cheekiness and loving nature, she is the life of a party.
Ingrid’s two children Jason and Charlotte are the loves of her life and she has nurtured, guided and loved them with all her heart and we all can say how proud we are of her and for her sacrifices to her beloved children.
We are Ingrid’s sisters Tania and Louise and the funds raised will go towards a wig, spending valuable time with her family and every day living expenses.
Thank you to all those that donate and we will do regular updates, all the messages of support and love are very much appreciated.

Ingrid update 27 November 2024
I would like to update you all on our beautiful sister Ingrid.
Yesterday she made the hard decision to shave off her hair due to extensive hair loss as a result of the Chemo. This was incredibly tough and emotional as it's not just about the physical change, but the reminder of everything you're going through.
But we know who you are isn't defined by your appearance-it's in your courage, strength, your resilience, and the fight you're showing every single day. Hair will grow back in time, but your spirit, your heart, and your determination are what truly shine. Love you lots ❤️❤️❤️
Ingrid’s comment taken from her Facebook post yesterday
“Admittedly it is a bit surreal and I might be in a bit of shock with it all but the love that has been shown and continues to be shown is and does carry me through and I'm grateful to you all and thank you all for bringing such light into my life”
