Isabella Brett - A New Zealand Gymnastics Champion on the World Stage

Isabella has competed in the sport of gymnastics since she was a little girl. Now 22, she has represented New Zealand at many international competitions between the ages of 13-21. After taking almost a year out of the sport, she realized that she had not accomplished all that she could and that her dreams were still very much alive. She came back with a fighting spirit - reaching the top level of her sport again after just six months of training, culminating in winning gold medals on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise at the recent New Zealand Artistic Gymnastics Championships at the Senior International level.

"Bella" has been selected to compete at the World Challenge Cups in Hungary and France in September of this year with a view to 2 World Cups in early 2024 and Oceania Championships. The expenses are daunting so, along with savings, some fundraising events and support from family, we are reaching out to our friends and the community to help her focus on her training and reaching her goals to continue to represent New Zealand at the highest level, while inspiring the younger gymnasts as a fantastic role model. There is no national funding for the sport, and athletes must self-fund their training, competitions, uniforms (leotards are beautiful but expensive!) coach and personal travel. We are so very grateful for any amount of support and encouragement. (The amount we hope to raise through this page is just 1/2 the cost of 4 upcoming competitions.)
