Help Jack step into the ring and make a positive impact on kiwis mental health!
Nelson
My name is Jack Blakemore and I am taking part in the Harcourts Gloves Up For Gumboots charity boxing night on Friday November 7th.
This event is raising funds for youth mental health, a particularly close cause to my heart. Having been through my own personal struggles and losing my father to suicide in June 2023, my goal is to step into the ring for this cause and raise as much money and awareness as we can to make a difference.
I know firsthand the pain that losing a loved one to suicide can bring and it's part of my mission to do everything I can so that more families don't have to experience this. I believe it starts with helping our youth. Every donation will help give young people the tools, hope and support they need to face their challenges and hopefully alter their path for a positive future.
I owe a huge thanks to Harcourts Nelson and Victory Boxing for making this event possible and allowing me to have a platform to tell my story. A massive thank you as well to Laser Electrical for sponsoring me at the event.
I'll be training hard over the next 10 weeks and will absolutely give my all in the ring, let's make a difference together!
I am a boxer in the Harcourts Gloves Up For Gumboots charity boxing event which is raising money for I Am Hope and Gumboot Friday.
All funds will go directly towards Gumboot Friday which is an initiative by I Am Hope that provides free, fast access to qualified counselling for young Kiwis aged 25 and under.
