World Champs Jacky Geurts
I am competing at the Taekwon-Do World Champs in Italy this year in Second Dan Patterns.

ABOUT ME
My Name is Jacky Geurts and I am living and working in Auckland. Over the past 5 years I have been training in ITF Taekwon-Do. During those years I graded for my first black belt in 2013, and for my second black belt in 2014, and trialled for the NZ Team.
I am part of a club called TEAM LEGACY, which is made up of a driven group of 10, who are all in the NZ team. We train together 4 times a week and one full weekend a month.
I have managed to complete all my TKD goals while also working a full time job, and doing other freelance work.
ABOUT THE WORLD CHAMPS
I have been selected into the NZ Taekwon-Do team to represent the country in Second Dan Patterns. The World Champs are in Italy, May 2015. There are 45 in the team, made up of a junior division and a senior division.
All donations go towards the training, flights, accommodation, and gear that is required to make this happen.
Your help also allows me to go and support all my team mates who have also been training hard for the chance to represent NZ.
MY DREAM
Has been to represent the country in a sporting discipline and have a career that I love. Therefore I have been pursuing a career in acting and stunts. TKD helps me with developing those physical and mental skills that are applicable to both.
I train 6-7 days a week for several hours a day to be at the level that I need to be in all of these disciplines.

Slippery Slope 10 April 2015
With only 6 weeks to go I am on the slippery slope to the World Champs competition in Italy.
Flights are booked - Check
Accomodation is paid - Check
Do Bok is embroidered - Check
Training.....always ongoing! :-)
Last night I demonstrated patterns at a local club and taught what I have learnt from the process - always good to give back to the community that supports you.
