Jade Otway (12) has been selected as a Targeted Athlete by NZ Tennis and is the youngest member of a U14 squad heading to Europe for 6 weeks
Wellington
MEET 12 year-old Jade Otway from Blenheim.
Alongside her twin sister Kyla and older brother Torban, they all have an exceptional talent for, and love of tennis. It comes as a surprise as parents Giselle and Shaun, who although former representatives in various sports, tennis was not one of them.
Jade is currently preparing to represent New Zealand as a targeted athlete on a six week tour of Europe. She is by far the youngest in the squad and the long trip will be without her parents but accepts that the future as a professional tennis player will not be without huge challenges. From June to July 2016, the trip will likely be the first of many more to the Northern Hemisphere for this committed and determined youngster. Jade is currently the 12 year-old New Zealand Champion.
If you would like to contribute to the future of one of New Zealand’s most promising young tennis players with a huge future, please do so by making a donation, for which Jade and her family will be wholly grateful.
Totally believe in Jade's exceptional talent at such a young age. Happy to do anything to assist her on her journey to become a Pro tennis player one day.
