Jakes journey to healing from Fluoroquinolone Toxicity

Hi, my name is Geena and I desperately need your help to get treatment for my partner Jake after being poisoned by a double dosage of an antibiotic.

In September 2019 Jake was given a double dosage of an antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin that has given Him physical and neurological symptoms that have completely destroyed his health and life. two weeks after my youngest son was born and he was given this medication, Jake starting experiencing awful pains. His body was burning on fire and he could feel his nerves fry, he was having muscle spasms and lost his balance. Soon after the symptoms snowballed and he lost all his senses, smell, taste, Couldn't feel hot or cold even if he had burnt himself, no more feelings of any emotions and no ability to sleep for more than a couple hours each night. The list of 40 odd symptoms Jake has had to endure over the last 19 months has had a devastating effect on his health and quality of life.

We were lucky enough to have seen a neurologist privately who linked the Ciprofloxacin to Jakes symptoms and we discovered he had fluoroquinolone toxicity, had it not been for her we would still not have any answers. My family and I have spent months trying to find anything that would help Jake and alleviate some of his ongoing symptoms, unfortunately NZ health system has no treatment options available and cannot help Him. After we have discovered many people like him who have been damaged by fluoroquinolones, We found a Doctor in L.A who has been healing people from this awful condition and giving them their lives back, including his own, after he too was damaged by ciprofloxacin and confined to a wheelchair for 6 months.

The treatment Were hoping to get Jake is at The Regenerative Medicine Clinic in L.A America, He will be detoxed from all toxins and fluoride that has affected his body, Be given customised IV protocol treatments catered to his body to fix and align any damage done by the fluoroquinolones to his mitochondria, tendons, muscles and ligaments and be given a range of therapies including Peptides, Red light therapy, stem cell treatment, a health coach with guided diet, and supplements to support a healthy recovery. Jakes looking at spending possibly 1- 3 months in the states to complete treatment, New zealand doesn't allow some of the supplements and treatments here so he would need to stay to complete the course of treatment to ensure the best possible recovery. The treatment course could cost around $40,000 NZD, then we need to cover costs of travel, Accomodation, travel within the states, quarantine costs and covid tests and food.

unfortunately New zealand does not offer this kind of treatment that targets healing at the cellular level to enable the best chance at recovery, we just simply do not have the technology or resources, which is why we have chosen to fly to meet with Dr Ghalili, who is only one in a handful of doctors over the world who truly understands this condition and its devastating and lasting effects on the human body.

Where needing to fundraise after Jake lost his job due to him losing all muscle strength and barely being able to stand. were supporting our family off a benefit and struggle to make ends meet. Jake used to be able to work 12 hour days as a chef before losing his health. He was the backbone of our family with the best laugh and sense of humour. it's been really hard watching the man I know disappear to this condition.

Over the last year we've been battling trying to get any help from doctors regarding ACC, after the doctor denying there was an overdose. We've finally had a breakthrough and found a doctor who put in an ACC claim for us, and now where waiting for ACC to decide what happens next, The only issue being they don't cover costs of medical treatment if its overseas. So we need to keep fundraising to ensure jake gets the help he needs before his condition deteriorates anymore.

This has been the most hard and stressful time for my whole family, and we all truly appreciate any help we have received so far. We are so grateful to have many wonderful people in our lives who help us continue to fundraise to reach our huge goal, so we can get Jake back to health and back to living again!
