Janine's fight for her life

My beautiful friend Janine has suffered from hsv encephalitis where her brain has become infected. The effects are very similar to what happens when someone has a stroke. Her speech and cognitive abilities are severely impaired and she has been experiencing seizures.

The good news is that she is being treated for the virus now and things are slowly improving.

However we have just learnt that Janine will need to be in hospital for around 3 months while the virus and infection continues to be treated. Then she will undergo intense rehabilitation to help with restoring her cognitive function so that we can get our incredible chatty vibrant and kind friend back! Funds raised will go towards her living costs while she battles to get her life back.

I have made this page with the blessing of her incredible daughter Alicia who just needs the assurance that the bills will be able to continued to get paid while Janine recovers.
