Help Jason Focus on Fighting Cancer

  • after chemo

      15 September 2015

Jason spoke with doctors in wellington and heres what happened.. "Been down in Wellington hospital this morning had a meeting with the bone transplant doctor looks like we will be doing the transplant as the chemo will stop the cancer for now but will probably come back again in 20 years time but if we take the transplant it has a 99.9% chance of stopping the cancer for good but there are a lot of risks my body could fight it and make me very sick could get skin rash all over and will look like I've been burnt by fire some organs could stop working and a 20% chance that I could die about 1 in 5 die. But the doctor said I'm fit and healthy got past the first round of chemo easy as and I'm staying positive about the hole thing he said that will make the hole thing so much easier for me and my body and should fly though it easy as if we go ahead with it have to do the second round of chemo and then we will go from there. If it's a go it will be 3 months in hospital down in Wellington hospital and I must say what a maze that place is lol. But if I stay positive should be able to get out a lot earlier. But yer I've got this will do it for me family and friends and my 2 little girls and of course Michelle"

Jasons spirits are high after the ex let Michelle pick up his daughter and they all got to spend the weekend together. It has been a long month without little Isabella being allowed to see her Daddy. Being Fathers Day made it extra special. Seeing his two little girls together is going to make the next round that little bit easier.

  • waiting game

      2 September 2015

The next couple of days we wait to find out when round 2 begins. Blood transfusions are out to every 4 days now from every 2 days, which we take as a good sign. Time away from Jason is hard for Michelle and with annuals running out we need as many donations as we can so life can remain somewhat normal for Vera and her wonderful Mummy and Daddy.

Part way through the 'rest' period and Jason is doing well. Have had a couple of family members make the trip for a visit some have even come over from ozzie. This really helps Jason to stay positive. So make sure if you're free and have the chance go and see him.

  • time for rest

      24 August 2015

By the end of Jason's first round of chemo he wasn't feeling the best physical but his spirits are still high.Jas gets a bit of time to recover and then another round will begin. Everyone is remaining very positive as the doctors and nurses work so very hard to do everything they can.

  • looking good

      15 August 2015

Jason is doing so well.. He has lost a little weight so is getting spoilt by everyone and thoroughly enjoying it. He has absolutely no immune system now but is looking and doing so well. Jason has nearly finished his first round of chemo and Michelle has to leave him tomorrow. Which is going to be hard but bills have to be paid. Thank you to every-one who has donated so far Michelle and Jason are so grateful to you all.
