Jaxson Cook has been chosen to represent NZ, at World Championships of Performing Arts, in LA. Please help him get there.

Hi I’m Jaxson Cook and just turned 11

As early as I can remember I’ve always loved singing and dancing…it just makes me feel alive.

Where sport rocks most kid’s I’ve always loved performing and can’t think of anything better to do with my life. When I was 9 I asked my parents if I could audition for The London Palladium production of the Sound of Music & to their surprise I got the part and toured NZ.

Over Christmas I’ve been invited to represent NZ for ”The world championships of performing arts” in Los Angeles in July which is massive, I’m so happy.

It’s like the Olympics for performing artists where 40 countries compete sending teams of their best talent in various age groups, it’s really really huge!

To be able to perform in front of leading talent scouts and possibly win a scholarship is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I know it’s going to be tough where I’m up against the best talent in the world but I believe in myself. Whatever happens I’ll use this opportunity to gauge where I am and learn from the best.

To get there I need your help to raise $9500 to make it possible for myself (and my chaperone seeing I am just a kid) to compete at the World Championships of Performing Arts. The money raised will cover the cost of our flights, 2 weeks accommodation, competition registration, my Black Stars uniform, a boot camp and transfers.
