In my true tradition; queen of spontaneity, it only seemed befitting that the St John (Ambulance Officers) are my choice of charity.

Every day is full of spontaneity as a St John Ambulance Officer. From days where I imagine it would be all be blood, sweat and tears, to dealing with interesting items lodged in interesting places, to poor little Betty having a small fall, they are there through it all. They are there for all scenarios for people from all different walks in life without judgement and with a genuine care.

Use of funds

As every birthday comes around, I am kindly reminded that I have my health, and as I watch ambulances scream past, whilst others may not have theirs, I know St Johns got them.

As a small token of my appreciation, I am wanting to instead of receiving gifts for my birthday, request a donation; For all the unforgiving hours, the uneaten meals, the very little thanks I am sure they get, the heartbreak and for being the real life hero's in our communities.
