Just wanting to help out an outstanding young man who has had a run in with bad luck and could really do with a little good luck.
Auckland
Jeremy has been working as a builders apprentice for 12 or so months and is enjoying learning the trade - his boss is proud of his progress and thinks he has a very bright future ahead of him.
He works hard and diligently and he has saved very hard. He has bought himself tools and a work truck which he loves with all his heart.
Last week he found out that he has to repair the head-gasket in his truck. Of course, he was very disappointed finding this out because he took his time finding a good truck that was suitable for his job. But this is not the reason why we have set this page up for Jeremy.
On Monday this week, Jeremy was involved in a work accident in which he has smashed a vertebra and fractured four or five others. He will be having an operation tomorrow morning and will be spending a few more days in the hospital. But he is gutted at having to spend months in recovery.
Because there are so many people asking how they can help make this process a little easier for Jeremy, we thought raising money for his truck would take a huge weight off of his shoulders and be something that he would really appreciate.
If you would like to give Jeremy a dose of good luck and a helping hand, you're welcome to donate to his cause here!
I am Jeremy's big sister and I am putting this page together with my other brother, Damian.
The funds will be used to help cover the cost of fixing his car, the amount has been estimated by a mechanic.
