NZ Paralympic Swimmer, Jesse Reynolds needs help to get to the IPC World Champs in Glasgow Currently 6th in the World and on his way to Rio.

Waikato

I am a Paralympic swimmer in the S9 category, I have Proximal Focal Femoral Defficiency, basically I have no femur & a malformed hip socket. I have been competitively swimming for 8 years, constantly striving to get to my ultimate goal of the 2016 Paralympic games in Rio.

To get there has been a hard slog, with 20hrs plus in the pool each week as well as the gym, study, work and trying to make ends meet.

Swimming is expensive, with limited funding available until you reach the elite level.

I need to partially fund myself to get to the IPC World Paralympic Swim Champs in Glasgow and the pre-comp. training camp in Florida. This event will cost approx. $10k, I am aiming at $5k to cover my share of the travel, accommodation, food and expenses.

By attending the World Champs in July and placing in the top 3 I will be able to acquire more funding.

The support from family, friends, PNZ, & Rotary, has been awesome and I really appreciate it. I am sorry to ask again but if you can help in any way possible we would very much appreciate it. I really want to make NZ proud. Thanks in advance.

Jesse is my son and is very dedicated to his swimming. He gives it his all, hoping to one day come home with a Paralympic medal. We are proud of all he has achieved so far and really want him to achieve his ultimate goal. Thanks so much for your support.
