Raising funds to support #JessesJourney #FightingLeukemia

Bay of Plenty

This is my beautiful sister Jesse 💞 Jesse has 3 children and 3 mokopuna. Jesse lived an active and healthy life until things took a turn in February 2016 Jesse was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. For 3 years she had been battling this disease resulting in hospitalizations, a myriad of medications, rapid weightloss, fatigue and depressive states. Unfortunately August 2019 Jesse's diagnosis progressed from Chronic Leukemia to Accelerate Leukemia and is progressing rapidly where she needs a bone marrow transplant before it progresses to Acute Leukemia. This means she will need treatment and further hospitalization for up to 3 months. Jesse should be home enjoying Christmas and celebrating the New Year with family instead, she’ll be undergoing a bone marrow transplant and Chemo and having to stay in Auckland. Please help Jesse

with her financial challenges to make the traumatic journey more tolerable.

The funds will also cover additional costs associated with her treatment, it will support the costs of her diet and health supplement and associated costs for her home while shes in hospital for 3 months. We anticipate her needing financial support on her return home until she can stabilize. Thank you for your support in #JessesJourney #FightingLeukemia

Wow been 3weeks since I last posted xx I hope everyone is doing well😍 it's been afew months since being back home now and everything is good,I'm doing well taking my meds doing everything I've been told to do by doctors just getting over an ugly cold. I continue to ask the doctors will this luekemia stay away? I think I will always continue to ask that question every visit.... I've been spending quite a bit of time with all my mokos i love being a nanny xx I get my new eyebrows next month and hopefully my dentures as well... And looking at contacts for my vision so I can rid these glasses lol Even on days when I don't feel 100% I still make that effort to not be isolated or stuck in bed... Alot of things have changed, I've been smokefree from cigis for 7months and alcohol free, I don't take any kinds of drugs only my medication 👌👌👍 there's also been a change in my household goods changes.. I continue to lose weight and my appetite is terrible lol that needs to change I need to eat more but my stomach can't tolerate much.. 🤩#jessesjourney #fightingleukemia

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
