Jinky is a hard working mother, wife, colleague and friend who moved to New Zealand from Cebu in the Philippines with her family to ensure that her daughter would live the true NZ dream, one of kindness, freedom and a true sense of belonging. Jinky who is currently on a work visa, collapsed at home preparing for work when she suffered a cerebral embolism which has left her in Middlemore hospital bed ridden, paralyzed on one side and unable to talk. Jinky is an extremely hard working and caring person who always cared for those she came into contact with.
Jinky will require much needed rehabilitation and support if she is to overcome this. Having known Jinky for a few years now I know that she would be the first to help those in need and now its our time to support her and her family in this their time of need.

I am a colleague and friend. I have set this up on behalf of the family because I believe its the right thing to do.
Use of funds
To pay for medical bills, rehabilitation expenses and to keep her family together. We are unsure if the costs will be covered by the public health system as her work visa expires in September 2021 and her rehabilitation period will be a long one.

Update and thank you for Jinky 28 June 2021
Hi all
I would from the bottom of my heart like to take this opportunity to thank all the kind donors who have donated to the Give a little page that has been set up for Jinky and her family.
Jinky has been transferred to the rehabilitation unit at hospital where she is receiving the much needed help and care from the medical teams. I would like to thank all the nurses who do such a fine task which, in most cases goes without thanks, thank you all. Whilst her recovery progress is slow and whist it will take a long time I would like to let you all know that her smile gets brighter every day and I know that she has not given up hope. I have not given up hope and I ask that you share this with as many of your friends and family as, Jinky and her family will need all the love and financial support that they can get.
I will give an update next Monday as to the progress Jinky has made.
