Jodie O'Shea Orphanage NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!!!

Last school holidays, my family and I went on an awesome trip to Bali. We did many things, and they were all fun and exciting, but one of the most memorable things we did was going to the Jodie O'Shea House, Bali. After a long drive from Ubud to Denpasar, we arrived after organizing an appointment a few weeks earlier.

We were greeted by the smiling faces of many young children. You could tell they were excited to have visitors. At once, a young girl, probably about 4-5 years old, took my hand and showed me around. The kitchen, which had to make enough food for 94 children a day, the dining room, the playing area, which was the main source of entertainment for most of the kids, and the field, which was around 10 square meters of fake grass. What I'm trying to get across is that they didn't have very much.

The whole day we spent playing games. Then we were asked if we wanted to go shopping for food with the money we had donated. Of course, we said yes!!! Just down the road was a small little grocery store. Nothing much. Flies and ants crawled over the veggies an fruit. You could also buy rice by the bucket-full. Of course, the kids didn't mind, this was daily life!!!

After that, we headed back to the orphanage to take a look at a little shop they had put together. Young girls lay on the ground making bracelets and necklaces. The cool thing about the shop was that all the money made was put towards maintaining the orphanage, while 10% of it went to the child that made it.

As we left, the lovely man that ran the orphanage made me make a promise. That I would put together a donation with my friends and family to help. So, I decided to make this fundraising page.
