  • Joes Garage Charity Cycle Riders

      20 September 2021

On behalf of Joes Garage Charity Cycle Riders it gives me great pleasure to post this final update on our South Island Sound2Sound Charity cycle ride 13-23 March 2021.

Joes Garage Charity Riders are very thankful to all our donors and can announce that the sum raised for the ride through this Givealittle page was $15000. This amount had a significant impact on the final figure raised. All monies raised benefited our chosen charity Life Education Trust.

Once again thank you for your kind donation, support, comments and time.

    Kind regards

  • It’s all over

We left Te Anau in overcast but fine conditions and made our way towards Milford Sound. At the 30k mark the sun broke through the clouds and we then had perfect conditions for our journey. The climb up to Homers Tunnel was steep and we were back into cloudy conditions again. The decent was great and we were soon all down in the carport celebrating a great journey now completed.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you very generous people that have donated to our cause LET. Thank you so much. It is your kind donations that keep us doing what we do. The page is open till the 4th April

    Kind regards

    Murray

Well it is now only 6 short weeks before we begin our Sound to Sound ride.

Today’s training ride to Whanga return was a classic. We had ideal weather although a little chilly at the beginning from Stratford.

The groups fitness is coming along fine and we appear to be on target.

Thank you to all those that have donated thus far. Your donations are much appreciated.

    Kind regards
