The Woodward Wolves are on the hunt for funds to compete at the Rotorua Netball Championship 2019
Auckland
Woodward Wolves is currently in its second year running and we have had many successes. We believe our most important success was the opportunity and demand for more teams in our second season. We are privileged and honoured to be heavily involved in our community, but we can’t do this alone and we need your help!
Wolves are getting ready to return to the Kurungaituku Netball Tournament in Rotorua for the second time. Kurungaituku has been running for 86 years and is the biggest tournament of the year, with over 300 teams from all over Aotearoa competing. This is a great opportunity for our club and women to celebrate the end of the season, and for our players to experience the amazing tournament environment that Kurungaituku provides.
To fundraise for this event we organise a quiz night annually. Last year this was a great success and we sold 100 tickets but this year, in order to get two teams to Kurungaituku we need to double our funds and support. We would like to invite you to be a part of our netball whānau and are hopeful that you can get behind our mission and ultimately support our wahine in this endeavour.
Side note - we are grateful for sponsorship in any amount or form! If financial help is not possible we would gratefully accept any goods or services we could use for raffles and prizes at our fundraiser. In return we can discuss sponsorship opportunities including advertising on our netball gear, social media, and club events at our sponsors’ facilities. We are more than happy to discuss any other sponsorship opportunities that you may have in mind just flick us an email at woodwardwolvesnetball@gmail.com.
All donated funds will cover our registration, umpire fees and accommodation for 25 women at a total of $4176. We would also love to cover petrol and food costs for our teams, as we know first hand how expensive Auckland living can be!
