I have been back into full on training now for the last few months and im finally back up to full fitness! SO i have set myself a goal of competition at next year's Australian Road nationals in Ballarat which also has c1 event attached to it which will give me valuable points towards tokyo.

Just thought I’d give you a quick update on how things have been going since coming out of the hospital and getting back to life.
Well I have been easing back into training for the last 3.5 weeks and my fitness is starting to slowly come back, My coach and I had a chat tonight and we have made the decision to spend the remainder of 2019 working on my fitness, and building up my power and strength for 2020.
In 2020 we will look at going over to Europe early in their racing season. The goal will remain the same it just may be a slightly harder road now, but I'm up for the challenge!

Thanks again for your awesome support, not long now till i leave for Europe First race for me is the 8th June in Cologne Germany which is a 20km TT on a nice smooth bike path.
today i become national champion in the Time trial a the Cycling New Zealand club nationals in the handcycle class, tomorrow i have the Road race.
On Easter Sunday we had the 3rd round the PNZ time trial Series which was also a c1 event which means it had qualifying points towards Tokyo, I came away with the race win and with 1 round to go in the time trial series i have a good lead.
Of course you came away with a win Jono - you are unbeatable - except by me in a sprint finish :-)

This Sunday I have the 3rd round of the PNZ para-cycling series which im leading the handcycle class. Then the following weekend I have the Cycling New Zealand club nationals here in Timaru which I'm very excited about. This also the 4th and final round of the PNZ para-cycling series.
