Support My New York Marathon Run to Fight Motor Neuron Disease
I am running the New York Marathon in memory of my mum, who bravely fought against motor neuron disease (MND). This devastating illness took her from us, but her strength and resilience continue to inspire me every day.
MND is a progressive disease that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness, loss of mobility, and difficulties with speech, swallowing, and breathing. There is currently no cure, and the need for more research, support, and awareness is critical.
By participating in the New York Marathon, I hope to raise much-needed funds for MND research and support services, ensuring that those affected receive the care and assistance they deserve. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to finding a cure and providing hope to families affected by this relentless disease.
Please join me in honoring my mum's memory and supporting this vital cause. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the fight against MND.
Thank you for your support!
I wanted to do a Marathon in memory of my mother Lynda who was fit and healthy and enjoyed exercise prior to getting MND. My hope is that funds raised will go towards finding a cure for this terrible disease.
All funds raised on this page will then be passed to the charity via this link http://secure.als-ny.org/goto/jonoc
Thanks Cindy, much appreciated
