Jordan Ogilvies Spinal Tetraplegic Recovery

Jordan was in a car accident on Waitarere Beach and was thrown from the 4x4, which has left him parazlyed from the shoulders down. He was in ICU ChCh for 5 weeks, while they kept him in traction (a metal halo inserted 3mm in to each side of this skull to keep him from moving his neck and causing more injury.)

He sadly came out with a very high injury, he broke C3,C4,C5,C6 of his 7 vertebrae in his neck, and crushed his spinal cord.

He was a young energtic and very adventerous man. Who got up at 6:30am every morning just to walk his dog, now he is trying to come to terms with his new way of life. Jordan is learning all new things on his way to recovery and is just learning that not everything comes free.

Him and his Partner are finding it very hard to finacially support themselves i.e keeping his partner down in Christchurch to be by his side.

Jordan and his partner are trying to keep they heads high, but both know this finacial struggle isnt just going to go away once they are finally home.
