  • Today's update: hospital and holidays

    Jord's family met with the hematologist and hospital social worker yesterday and have the following news they'd like to share:

    Jord is trying some new medication and is waiting on a bioposy, which will help determine how long he has. The hematologist has strongly encouraged Jordyn to travel sooner rather than later, while he has a bit more energy. So mum Teddy is starting to get things together: she is investigating whether there is any travel insurance which would cover Jordyn to travel to Australia, and how long it would take to get passports. We'll have more updates soon. In the meantime, we'd love to get funds coming in so the family have money ready when they need it.

    Jordyn's mum Teddy said today that it was hard to express how grateful she is for those who have donated to help their cause: "from the bottom of our hearts, we're so blown away, and so grateful."

  • Today's update from the hospital

    Today we met with the Hospice nurse and social worker who will be helping look after Jordyn at home. It was good to meet them but hard asking some difficult questions, and having to talk about things like funeral plans. We heard a bit about what we can expect in terms of what the days are going to be like for Jord from here.

    We meet with the haemeotologist on the 12th to discuss our desired travel plans and how we can make them work for Jordyn. After that we'll have a better idea of what our travels plans should be, and therefore our goal amount to fundraise.
