Josh Stanton’s family holiday to the Gold Coast

Well, the GC has been and gone. A massive thank you to all of you who made this possible for us.

Here is an update of what we enjoyed and a few photos to boot.

We had an absolutely fantastic time over the couple of weeks we had there.

The kids had a ball, Talisa was able to chill out and forget about the reality of home for a while and I was able to achieve more than I thought for all the activities we did.

The favourite parts for the kids were Seaworld, where we enjoyed a detective Sea lion show, a dolphin show and some cool rollercoaster rides. They also enjoyed holding a snake, patting the Koalas and kangaroos. Their most favourite part was definitely the log rides at Dreamworld and Seaworld though where the end gets us all wet. The Currumbin wildlife Sanctuary was well worth the visit with their bird show, reptile show and yummy hamburgers we had for lunch. We ate very very well at the GC too with our favourites being the Teppanyaki restaurant and the Indian restaurant below our hotel. The kids loved the tower of fire at teppanyaki (I think Bods loved that experience just as much as the kids).

Bods was a great help driving us around everywhere we needed to go and Andrew and Mel were great too for looking after the kids, giving us a sightseeing trip down the canals and for hosting us for a family BBQ where we got to catch up with Nicole, William, John and others.

Definitely a great holiday to cherish, now we are organising our next family getaway. Enjoy the photos, and thanks for making it happen.
