Journey to my new lungs.

  • Quick Update

      20 August 2020

It has nearly been 9 months now and life has changed for the better. Nearly back to being able to do everything without pain or chest cracking. Thank you to everyone that has supported not only me but Tessa and Mya. Also the biggest thank you to my donor and their family, without you I wouldn't be doing what I can today so thank you so so much.

  • New Lungs

      30 December 2019

Hi everyone. It has taken a while to post this but on the 4th of December I got the phone to say they had new lungs for me. So Tessa and I flew up at midnight to Auckland and on the 5th of December at 6.30am I went into surgery to get my new lungs. Surgery went really well and recovery has been so good. 3 and a bit weeks have gone and I feel so good. Some pain still but that is normal. I am in Hearty Towers at the mo with Mum. Everything is going to plan and we are so happy with the new change. I can breathe again.

Just wanna also say Thank you to the donor and your family, I know it can't of be an easy decision. Your decision has given me a 2nd chance at life, Thank you so much. Wish I knew who you were.

  • Thank you

      3 September 2019

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far. This truly means the world to David and I. It is already helping us so so much with the cost of flights, accommodation, his bunch of vaccines he needs etc. We are heading to Auckland on the 6th of October for his week long of tests, from there they will decide if he will be put on the active transplant list or not.

    Will keep you all updated

Thank you thank you thank you ❤️
