Jurnee's Second Ear

Jurnee is an 8 year old girl who loves dance and cartwheels. She was born profoundly deaf in both ears and received one cochlear implant as a baby. Unfortunately until Jurnee came into our care she was not using the implant consistently. This made her behind in her communication skills. In march 2014, Jurnee came into our permanent care due to her mother being terminally ill. Sadly her mum passed away of cancer in March this year. Jurnee has done amazing with the circumstances she has been given. She is getting better everyday with her speech and is attending dance class every week which she loves. She has adapted so well to our family and we are wanting to give her the boost that she so deserves. Jurnee is such a beautiful, kind, resiliant, funny 8 year old girl who needs this one wish to be able to excel to her highest potential.
