Justin needs our support now more than ever.
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Justin needs our support now more than ever.
A respected colleague, friend, and mentor, Justin has dedicated over 30 years to FMCG, leaving a positive impact on so many of us in the industry. Now it’s our turn to be there for him and his family.
As some of you may or may not be aware, on Wednesday 2nd July, Justin was involved in a fall while working in-store at a Pak’nSave. This resulted in a serious head injury, and he was rushed to Waikato Hospital in an induced coma.
Following medical investigations, it was found that Justin had sustained multiple skull fractures and brain damage.
In the most recent update from his wife, Marion, we’re relieved to hear that Justin is now out of the coma, though he remains very weak. He has been transferred back to Tauranga Hospital but is moving to the specialist centre in Hamilton (Acquired Brain Injury) for further rehabilitation. Marion is going with Justin as his support person.
Justin has been part of FMCG for over 30 years and has worked alongside many of us who are still in the industry today.
The purpose of this Givealittle page is to show our love and support for Justin, Marion, and their family, and to help lighten the load during this incredibly difficult time.
I have worked alongside and known Justin and Marion for over 30 years and am not just a colleague but a close friend.
Financial help, whether for petroleum to go to hospital, food or accommodation needed when visiting Justin, or any other day-to-day costs.
Latest update from Marion and Justin 7 August 2025
Justin seems to be happy to have visitors or phone calls. Justin doesn’t remember being in hospital. So catching up with friends and family would be great. As Justin had 2 seizures while in hospital he is not allowed to drive or drink alcohol for a year.
If you would like to see or talk to Justin please do so, thanks Karen
