Jordyn Wallace Kartsport Girl Racer

I am a 13 year old female from Auckland, New Zealand. My racing career started at the age of 9 in Kart racing. My ultimate goal in life is to become a professional race car driver. I live & breathe motor racing whether it's racing myself, supporting my Dad at his racing or volunteering at the racing circuit when I'm not racing. Racing is my life & I can't think of anything else I would rather do.

This year I am competing in the very competitive karting class Formula Junior. I am a 13 year old girl competing against other karters who are predominately boys, aged 12 to 17 years. To be able to achieve my dream of becoming a professional race car driver, I need to start now & this starts with more competitive racing in karts, with tough, quality competition.

By entering the CRC Speedshow Top Half Series I will be competing with the best in my class from around the North Island. I will also be competing in the National Schools Event in Taranaki in the July School Holidays & I aim to compete in the Kartsport North Island Championships in October 2016.

This is all part of gaining more experience so I can hopefully make a move into cars in the next 12 to 24 months to try and grow myself as a driver and move closer to my goal of becoming a professional racing driver.

Entry Fees $ 900.00

Tyres (slicks & wets) $1800.00

Accommodation $1200.00

Fuel for Kart $ 700.00

Tow Vehicle Fuel $ 500.00

Lubricants $ 350.00

Kartsport Licence $ 204.00

Total Amount Required for 2016 Season $5654.00

These figures do not include any maintenance or damages or club based events which I will also be competing at during the year.
