KAASO Music Festival Appeal

$1,115 of $6,200 goal
Given by 9 generous donors in around 3 months

Help our KAASO students raise the funds needed to attend the Uganda Primary Schools National Music, Dance and Drama Festival.

International

The students and teachers at KAASO have been working incredibly hard over the last few months in preparation for the Uganda Primary Schools National Music, Dance and Drama Festival, due to kick off on Monday 25th July, running until 21st August.

Talented KAASO students participated at these festivals in 2018 and 2019 and came 7th and 8th respectively out of a phenomenal 72 schools across Uganda!

Everyone at KAASO has been doing all they can to pull together the funds needed to make this dream a reality for the students and enable them to travel firstly to the local rounds in Kyotera, and then to the later rounds across the country. The KAASO Old Students gathered at the latest Visitation Day and contributed 4.2 million Uganda shillings, the school itself has been able to contribute 8 million and the parents have so far contributed 1.3 million. We still need around 14 million UGX ($3,800 USD/$6,200 NZD) to enable our KAASO students to compete right up to the national level.

Please help us to make this dream come true and showcase our talented KAASO students on the national stage in August!

KAASO 4th in Uganda!  29 August 2022

Our hugely talented students at KAASO ended up 4th in all of Uganda at the National Music Festival. We are so incredibly proud of them, what an amazing achievement for a rural village school where most students aren't able to pay full school fees. The top three schools were all Kampala city schools and Dominic and Rose couldn't be prouder of what their students have achieved - they even made the national news! Thank you so much to all those who contributed to make this dream come true!
