Kaitiakis Unexpected Vet Bills

UPDATE: I have picked up Kaitiaki from the vet this afternoon and his vet bill so far is totalled at $245, for him to be able to be released back into my care I had to pay upon pickup so I had to borrow money from friends and family which I now have to pay back which is what the funds raised will be for. Anything extra will be put in an account I will set up with the vet so if anything unexpected ever happens again I will be a bit more prepared next time. I am trying to fundraise money to help towards my boy Kaitiakis vet bills. Kaitiaki has recently turned 2 years old and is a fun, playful and very loving boy. Kaitiaki has suddenly been in a lot of pain since last night, we are unsure of what has happened and why he is suddenly in a lot of pain. Yesterday as a family on a nice hot day we went down to the beach and enjoyed a swim and ever since we got home he’s been crying and screaming out in pain while trying to do simple tasks such as rolling over in his sleep, climbing the stairs and even hopping up onto our bed. I took him into the vet today and because he was in so much pain he wouldn’t allow the vet to properly examine his leg so that means he will need to be sedated and then Xrayed and properly examined which is going to be expensive, he will also need anti inflammatory tablets, pain medication but also on top of those expenses already we need to get prepared for the discovery of what’s wrong after his x rays are completed and what his next treatment will be. As of recent I have unexpectedly been left without a job due to the season ending earlier than expected and I am now facing another unexpected turn of events and I just want to be able to help my boy. Kaitiaki is a very big part of our family and I love him like he is my child, and I feel completely useless not being able to help him and get him the care that he needs and seeing him in so much pain.
