Hello, My name is Kaleb, and I'm a 17-year-old trans man from New Zealand, Aotearoa.Like many trans individuals, I experience gender dysphoria, which is a psychological distress caused by a mismatch between one's gender identity and their assigned sex at birth.

I need to flatten my chest so that I can feel better about my body, but binding is not a perfect solution. Binding often makes it painful to breathe and move, and it can even make my asthma worse. I still need to bind because it makes me feel better about myself and helps me live as my authentic self.

In order to alleviate my dysphoria, I need top surgery to help me feel better about my body, It costs a lot of money though, around $20,000.
