Kiwis for Kapuna Hospital Upgrade Project

$10,463 of $44,000 goal
Given by 34 generous donors in around 6 months

Kapuna Hospital is undertaking an upgrade and we want to help out.

Auckland

Nestled in the dense jungle of the Wame River, Kapuna Hospital, along with Kikori, serves over 30,000 people in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea (PNG).

Partnering with Gulf Christian Services, Kapuna Hospital is a faith-based ministry that encompasses medical care, training, leadership, community development, and so much more.

The Gulf Province is one of the most remote and unique places on the planet! It is rich in culture, languages, and people groups.

If you can't give financially why not come and volunteer. Kapuna Hospital needs teams of skilled trades people and project managers to come out and volunteer. Find out more at http://kapuna.org/wp/

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause. Hi Julieta I opened givealittle today and was so excited to see your message and generous donation. It means a lot to get your message, knowing that you can empathise, being a doctor yourself who worked in remote islands of New Caledonia. If you want another remote adventure, we would love to have your visit Kapuna Hospital. We really appreciate your care, encouragement and kindness. Thankyou again for giving so generously to improve health care and save lives in PNG. Kind regards. Janai

Just read the article in Mindfood and the health struggles of the people in PNG have really touched a cord, particularly the childbirth mortality rate, as I hope it does with many more of us. You strong determined women are an inspiration to us all, thank you for your work. I hope you reach your goals for the people of PNG.
