Ram raid at Karaka Convenience Store - please help! Small donations gratefully accepted. 👍🏼

Yesterday (Thursday 20 Jan) - Prakash Patel and his lovely family at our local Karaka Convenience Store were senselessly vandalised.

These THUGS purposefully drove their vehicle into the front of the store in the hopes of stealing cigarettes. They only managed to get ice cream and lollies.

Local store owner next door - Kevin - tried to stop them but was, unfortunately, unable to. And fair enough. We wouldn’t expect him to place himself in harms way.

However; Prakash has now had 5 ram raids in 2.5 years!

I feel deeply for him and his family as this will no doubt send his insurance premiums soaring.

I am asking the local community to please support Prakash and his family by donating a small amount to this page which will go straight to Prakash and his family.

A small act of kindness will go a long way.

My relationship with Prakash is merely one of customer and fellow community member. I work for Gilmours in Manukau and often see Prakash in our store where we have a brief chat.

I also enjoy the banter we have when I frequent his store.
