Karisma is a young woman living with SMA Type 2, this means she's wheelchair bound and needs a special vehicle for her to be able to drive.

"I'm a very independent person," Karisma says, "having my own car would be life changing for me."
Being a young woman in her early twenties, Karisma would love her own vehicle to make her more independent. Unfortunately that comes with a big price tag seeing as she would need a car customized to her needs.
"I've never let my disability get in my way of doing anything, and I won't let it get in my way of having another level of freedom," she states, "I'm not someone who asks for money, and I really had to swallow my pride to get this fundraiser started, I know sometimes you have to sacrifice things for something you really want."
"My parents have raised me to be a very positive and independent person, I'm forever thankful to my family and friends who are always super supportive."
Karisma studied commercial broadcasting a few years ago at the NZ School of Radio in Tauranga and she's been chasing goals eversince. She made it to the NZ Radio Awards finals in 2016 for a radio show she hosted and produced at Free FM, a local community station.
"I'm a very outgoing person, I love people and I love what I do. I do all the brand management for our family business, I have my own podcast, and I'm an aspiring vlogger, so having my own car would mean I can really take that to the next level."
Any donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
