Karly's Fight

Karly, a 17-year-old passionate about sports and known for her wit and humour, recently received a devastating diagnosis of a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Her family, parents Brad and Ange, as well as her older sister Lara, have been providing unwavering support during this difficult time.

Currently, Karly has started immunotherapy treatment at Starship Hospital in Auckland. However, there's uncertainty about the duration and effectiveness of this treatment for her specific type of cancer. We are also uncertain about the length of time Karly will need to remain at Starship.

Brad and Ange are currently staying at Ronald McDonald House so they can be close to Karly and continue to support Karly during her treatment.

The community, along with friends and family, stands strong in support of Karly and her family, offering their love and assistance during this challenging journey.

The financial strain on Karly's family is anticipated to be significant both in the immediate future and over the long term due to the extensive medical treatment that may be required.
