Thank you so much for the continued support and love that you have all shown for Ange, Brad and Lara following the loss of Karly.
The funds will now be used to cover funeral costs and family costs during time off work.
Brad and Ange are also going to use the funds for future donations towards causes (yet to be determined) and projects in Karly's honour and memory.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our darling Karly on 28th October, 2023; aged 17 years. Suddenly a heart of gold stopped beating, our brave wahine toa has left a huge void in our lives. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support for Karly, Ange, Brad and Lara during the past few weeks. A celebration for Karly will be held at the Ngatea War Memorial Hall, Orchard West Road, Ngatea, on Friday 3rd November, at 11am, followed by private cremation. Thanking everyone for their continued support and generosity. With all of the messages of aroha and support, baking & cooking, visits and prize giving speeches, and haka, we are truly overwhelmed. And it gives Karly the strength to fight this fight!! You are all amazing people.
Karly is receiving great care and support at Starship Hospital. She had her first treatment of immunotherapy 2 weeks ago, she will have a second dose in a week. More will be known about its effectiveness when it is 6 weeks from the first dose. Karly continues to be on high-flow oxygen to support her lungs but is in good spirits and continues to be strong and determined.
We also want to thank Starship Hospital and RMH staff for their support and guidance. What amazing places these are which enable our family to stay together during this time.
