Asking for help for those hurt by the devastating floods last month in Kashmir, India.
Nationwide
We all know there are huge problems in the world right now and we can’t rescue everyone – but we can help those in our path and in our hearts.
The people in Kashmir, India are in desperate need of help - although it has hardly been on the news, the recent catastrophic floods last month devastated Kashmir on a level worse than that caused by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, USA. Kashmir has suffered losses of more than 16 billion US dollars.
People in Kashmir are now extremely discouraged and many suffer from the psychological effects of trauma in addition to losing their homes, livelihoods and some even lost family members.
Many Kashmiris currently are living in partially damaged homes or in tents that are extremely cold especially as the winter approaches.
We want to send money for food, medicine and heating. We are really concerned about the coming winter when it is sometimes minus 10 C.
