Help Kate move to London and study a Guildhall Artist Masters in Orchestral Artistry in conjunction with the London Symphony Orchestra
Wellington
Kia ora!
My name is Kate King and I am a French horn player currently based in Wellington, NZ. I have completed my Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in Classical Performance at the New Zealand School of Music, and have since been working as a freelancer around the country. I have been fortunate to have performed with the likes of Orchestra Wellington, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the NZSO National Youth Orchestra and the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band.
I am incredibly excited to begin a Guildhall Artist Masters in Orchestral Artistry this September, which is administered in conjunction with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. This two-year programme provides specific orchestral training in both auditions and performance, coaching with some of the leading horn players from the UK and around the world, as well as performance opportunities and development of outreach and education practices with the LSO.
The fees for this course, as well as the general cost of living in London, are rather substantial. I am very fortunate to have the support of a Guildhall School Financial Award towards a portion of my course fees, and am working hard on applications to many scholarships and funding sources to be able to maximise the opportunities at hand. Any additional support would be gratefully accepted, and would go towards the rest of my course fees!
Any donations made will be going towards my course fees!
