Kate to the 2022 WKF World Junior Karate Championship
Auckland
At the age of 8, Kate started her Karate Journey at SSKANZ in Auckland. Since then, she has trained consistently and competed in many regional, national and international tournaments, claiming great results. Recently, Kate represented the country in the Oceania Karate Championship 2022 in New Caledonia, placing 1st in the Cadet Female Kumite -54, and 2nd in the Cadet Female Kata.
Kate has been selected to represent the country this October in the Cadet Female Kata at the 2022 WKF World Junior Championship, held in Turkey.
Karate athletes in NZ unfortunately do not receive any funding. With extensive costs during this time, any contributions put towards her journey to the championship will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you + result 14 November 2022
Thank you all so much for your generous donations and support towards my journey to the WKF Junior Worlds Karate Championships in Konya, Turkey. Your contribution has helped and motivated me to do my best at the championship and return with a great result. I have placed 5th in the Cadet Female Kata amongst 44 other top athletes across the world in my division. Although I had unfortunately lost to Turkey in the bronze medal match, getting to the medal match was way beyond my expectations. I believe that without your support, I would not have come this far on the world stage.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for your help and I will treasure this experience to learn more and work harder for the future.
Thank you all so much.
