Help Kate & Daniel celebrate their wedding and Jai's first birthday as well as making each and every day of Jai's life the best it can be.

West Coast

Jai turns 1 on the 17th of May. Jai’s parents, Kate and Daniel, are hoping to make his first birthday an extra special day by getting married.

Jai has worked hard to overcome the many health challenges he has faced in his first year of life. Jai is living in Starship hospital (Auckland) and as well as requiring oxygen, he has dialysis for kidney problems.

Kate and Daniel were waiting and hoping that Jai would eventually be well enough for surgery.

They have just been advised that Jai isn't going to be strong enough to cope with this...

Kate and Daniel are aware that they need to focus, as much as possible, on making each and every day of their small son’s life the very best it can be.

The past year has been very hard for this young couple as they have juggled the care of their very sick young son as well as the needs of their other children who have had to remain with extended family in Hokitika.

Their wedding and Jai’s birthday celebrations will be held at Ronald McDonald House in Auckland, while some items have been donated there are still costs involved such as bringing siblings up from Hokitika and also to prepare for the days and weeks after the funeral.

Please help this young family to cope with the hurdles that have been thrown at them and also to enjoy their wedding as well as Jai’s 1st birthday.

Thanks. x
